i once read a story about a criminal on death penalty...he was to try out a new method of execution, whereby his wrist would be slashed and he would be bled to death...on the day of execution, he was blindfolded...the sound of blood dripping symbolized his life draining away...feeling weaker and weaker, he lost the will to live and soon passed away...however, in actual fact, his wrist was juz slit slightly and the dripping sound came from a tap, not his blood...
diifferent pple may have different interpretation of the story...to me, it indicated the importance of will...easier said than done though...it hurts to see how some are suffering from illnesses, loss of loved ones etc, but i have always admire their courage to continue living...sometimes i wonder if the same situation has struck me (touchwood, touchwood), will i be able to cope with it? am i able to be as brave? anyway, my first paper has started today...one down, two more to go...hopefully i got most of the parts that i did correct (is this possible?) cos i oredi left 20 marks undone...sianz.... Happy 22nd birthday.... ^-^
went to lee hwa jewellery yesterday to buy my birthday present...it's a belated 21st bday present as well as a 22nd bday present from my sis...though i got no guys to buy me diamond, i got a sis who would buy for me...haha...as i'm not the type that makes quick decision, i really din know which one to choose...moreover, there were assorted designs to choose from...in the end, i juz chose a necklace and a pendant with a simple and timeless design, that's in my opinion though ...it's called elegant touch.... 
when i have the money, shall buy these to complete the collection...hahahaha...no wonder pple say diamonds are a girl's best friend...   
my mum said she's gonna give me $500 for my korea trip as my birthday...yes, i've booked my trip finally...haha...7-day trip to jeju, nami island, seoul etc...too bad there's no lotte world...ok, shan't digress away...she dun give me present usually cos she oredi paid for most of my expenses, eg on clothes, shoes...as for my father, i guess i will juz make him buy me a digicam next time, so that i can use it during the trip and also during convocation...haha...i sound like a bloodsucker ah... have u ever wondered to yourself why u like to make an easy question seem so difficult...have u ever wanted to give yourself a punch in the face for having such a rigid mindset? i sure did today when i saw the answer key to last week's quiz...sighz...it's important to be flexible during application of concepts...i guess i haven't even get a good grasp of the concepts yet...sad to say...
it's scary to see classmates knowing exactly which page the tutor is talking about in class...i'm juz glad i know which chapter it's from...haha...they must have mugged like siao lor...perhaps i shd learn from them...learn how to scrutinize each page word by word, memorize concepts by page numbers etc...i guess diff pple have diff objectives in life...but mine is definitely not to top the cohort...wat an aimless life...haha.... china students commented that singaporean students are stupid and lazy...but no one's forcing them to study with us rite...feel free to pack up and return to your homeland...
they actually got the cheek to say such things when they are on a Singapore government scholarship...isn't the government kinda paying to get the locals insulted...maybe the locals shd reflect on ourselves but have we seen locals posting remarks such as 'china students are uncouth, loud and showy' on chat boards...i dun think so...this is basic manners ok... my cpu is down...realised that this morning...i hope it's cos the plugs loosen or wat...how to survive without the pc...luckily i sent the project material to my group mates oredi...if not, gotta redo in sch....which is like so disastrous....the pc was still working yesterday morning...hopefully it will work miraculously when i get home...let me try to recall, is there anything urgent that i've stored in my hard drive...i hope not...
the good news is i can finally force my mum to buy a new pc and i get to have more time to study...haha...cos i'm always doing rubbish online, like surfing rubbish sites and playing rubbish games.... the bad news is no mean of slacking now...sighz...which can be good in some sense, i guess...haha...but if my pc is really spoilt, it will imply that i will have to stay in campus to do my next project...no....i dun want.... get well soon, pc...
